(Customer Service)
Carl came full circle with his arrival at WebsitesForPrinters.com at the end of January 2006. From 1993-1998, he wrote for our sister company, Ink Inc. From there, he joined a local web development company, and has also served in customer support roles at a couple of other firms. Carl holds a Bachelors degree in English writing and history, is married, and has a son... Pete.
WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? I was born in Baltimore, Maryland; spent my early youth in Roanoke, Virginia; and moved to Fruitland, Maryland, during the first grade. I grew up there and in neighboring Salisbury. So I guess you could say the Eastern Shore of Maryland is in my blood.
WHICH WORDS OR PHRASES DO YOU MOST OVERUSE? Actually, I don’t think I overuse any words or phrases. That’s actually the truth. If you don’t believe me, I can actually prove it to you. If you were to actually ask anyone who knows me, they would actually tell you that I actually spread my word usage out quite well. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it... actually.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT STATE OF MIND? Rhode Island... or maybe Connecticut... somewhere New Englandy
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE WRITERS? Besides myself? Stephen Booth and Langston Hughes jump immediately to mind. I also enjoy what I’ve read so far by Val McDermid. I recently read Dennis Lehane’s Mystic River, and I have to say I’m looking forward to exploring more of his writing, too.
WHICH HISTORICAL FIGURE DO YOU MOST IDENTIFY WITH? That’s a toughy. I guess I’ve always tended to identify more with specific traits from different people. Mark Twain, Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Schultz, and Dr. Seuss are a few. Come to think of it, most of them could also serve as answers to the last question.
DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM CAR. 1967 Ford Mustang GT convertible with V8 and manual transmission... although any 1960s-era Mustang would do.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN COSTUME? I remember my younger brother and I going out in matching mouse costumes my mom made for us. I must have been about 7 or 8. I’d have to say that one was my favorite.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY? Building and tinkering around the house. I replaced our old broken-down concrete front steps last summer with a small wooden landing. (Sledgehammers are fun.) My next big project will be building a backyard playhouse for my son.
WHAT IS ONE TV SHOW YOU CANT MISS? This Old House/Ask This Old House Norm Abram and Tom Silva are my heroes.
WHAT CIRCLES ARE IN YOUR VENN DIAGRAM? Husband, father, dog person, football fanatic (go Vikes), tinkerer, HTML and Javascript junkie, coffee fiend (coffee snob, my wife would say), baseball fan (though not as serious as I was as a kid), mystery lover, wordsmith, gentle spirit, creative thinker, introvert, pack rat

WHAT TALENT WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO HAVE? I wish I was more talented at painting! I would love to be able to express myself better on canvas.
